#UK5 WELCOME LONDON

34

DAY V + VI - Here we go with my last day in Littlehampton and my arrival in London. On the day we departed, we took it quite relaxed in the morning, packed our things together and went at the beach for the last time, enjoying the sound of the waves and the wind in our hair. And of course, we watched the seagulls who flew around like always.

In the afternoon, we caught our train to London, where we arrived about 5 or 6 o'clock. We stayed there in one of the youth hostels (yha London Central), which is located in between Oxford Street and Regents Park. I was actually quite happy to stay there since it was really nice, the people there very kind and since it's a youth hostel so affordable. In the evening we didn't do a lot any more but strolling around in Marylebone. And for dinner, we went in a delicious Indian restaurant, the Indali Lounge at Baker Street. I'd been there before on my first trip to London a year ago and liked it so much that I definitely had to go there a second time! ^^

On our "real" first day in London we first took a walk to a little french café in Soho, the Maison Bertaux (also a spot I'd been a year ago which I really recommend to you! There croissant are amazing as well as the scones! They're actually not vegan but I still had to make a little exception because I was actually looking forward to them since the beginning of our trip^^) Afterwards, we took a bus and drove around London to get a little overview. We passed many famous places such as Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.
For Lunch, we dismount at Banks. From there we walked to the Leadenhall Market, where we wanted to eat something. Sadly, we didn't know that it isn't open on Saturday. So we just enjoyed this beautiful building. (And for all of you Harry Potter fans: This is the Diagon Alley from the film :) For lunch we then simply took something in Pret à Manger where they have also vegan stuff!
Further on our way, we walked through the actual "City of London"(which is quite small! The other part of that what we all call "London" is the "city of Westminster" as I had to learn^^) to the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. Then we were so tired that we took the Underground to Regents Park and spent some relaxing time in the park.
And for dinner, we went in another delicious restaurant which we just found accidentally. It's quite small and also situated in Soho, the Mediterranean Cafe. I absolutely suggest you to take the mixed starters plate so you can taste all of these delicious flavors!
